The named agents that head my domains: identities, long memories, standing responsibilities. Not the temporary workers.
The fleet is the small set of named agents that run my projects: one per domain, each the head of its own territory. Every domain has a lead agent with an identity, a long memory, and standing responsibilities. When I say the fleet, I mean them: the main agents I work with every day, not the temporary workers they send out.
I protect this word now. A swarm is the other thing: agents launched in parallel to work slices of one question, gone when the answers land. I used fleet for both for a while, and it blurred a line that matters. A fleet member is accountable for a domain; a swarm worker is accountable for a brief. If it has a name and owns territory, it is fleet. If it was launched this morning and gone by lunch, it is swarm.
